A Florida mother who fought against her 4-year-old son's circumcision reportedly signed the consent form Friday allowing the surgery. The decision came two days after Heather Hironimus, a 31-year-old from West Boynton, Florida, withdrew the federal lawsuit that sought to assert the boy's constitutional rights as a means to avoid the procedure, the Associated Press reported.

Hironimus was arrested May 14 after vanishing for months. She failed to appear in court after a judge previously ruled her son's father could take custody of the boy and have him circumcised, a procedure he said he was "scared to death" to undergo. It was unclear Friday morning when Hironimus would be released from jail, CBS 12 reported.
