The No. 1 Florida Gators put their 29-game winning streak and a chance at the Final Four on the line against the No. 11 Dayton Flyers in Saturday night’s South Region final.

Florida can make the fifth Final Four in the school’s history, while the Flyers are hoping for a return to college basketball’s main event for the first time since 1967.

The Gators have thus far bested No. 16 Albany, No. 9 Pittsburgh, and recently No. 4 UCLA in the Sweet 16. Billy Donovan’s team has largely relied on seniors Casey Prather and Scottie Wilbekin during their run, but several underclassmen have stepped up in the tournament.

Sophomore guard Michael Frazier III recorded a game-high 19 points and six rebounds against UCLA, and freshman guard Kasey Hill came off the bench for 10 assists and six rebounds. Hill also posted 10 points and two steals against Albany and another two steals versus Pitt.

Dayton’s Vee Sanford and Kendall Pollard have also stepped up off the bench, but the Flyers will need a solid game from leading-scorer and junior guard Jordan Sibert and senior forward Devin Oliver. The pair averages a combined 24 points and also leads the Flyers with 61steals. Sibert especially stands out with his 43 percent shooting three and 83 three-pointers made this season.

In terms of odds the Gators are 10 point favorites, but Dayton has defied odds makers and analysts alike all through the tournament, ousting perennial tournament giants as Ohio State and Syracuse.
