Two rather surprising teams battle on Saturday in the Elite Eight, when the No. 4-seeded Louisville Cardinals (29-9) face the No. 7-seeded Florida Gators (26-10) at US Airways Center in Phoenix.

The tipoff takes place at about 4:30 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on CBS.

The Cardinals head into the game with a seven-game winning streak that includes a convincing win over No. 1 seed Michigan State. Rick PItino's squad needed that type of victory after unimpressive wins over Davidson and New Mexico.

Against Michigan State, the Cardinals defense limited the Spartans to just 28.6 percent field-goal shooting. Michigan State converted just 14 shots.

Louisville are a versatile team that lack star power. Kyle Kuric leads the Cardinals in scoring at 12.9 points per game, but like sophomore guard Russ Smith, who averages 11.4 points per game, he has struggled to knock down shots in the tournament.

Pitino will need the Cardinals to hit their shots against Florida, who average 76.3 points per game. The Gators had little momentum heading into the tournament, but have won all three of their tournament games in rather convincing fashion.

Bradley Beal was the difference in the Sweet 16 game against Marquette. The freshman guard converted eight-of-10 shots to lead all scorers with 21 points. Meanwhile, junior guard Kenny Boynton, who leads the Gators in scoring, has had an inconsistent tournament.

Billy Donovan's squad appear to be peaking at the right time.

The winner faces the winner of Kentucky - Baylor in the Final Four in New Orleans.

PREDICTION: Louisville seem to squeak by their opponents, and are probably due for a scoring outburst. Expect the Cardinals to bounce back from poor shooting against Michigan State, and look more comfortable in their half-court sets. Florida, however, will speed things up, and that should spell doom for the Cardinals. This will be a rather up-and-down game, with both teams expected to go through dry spells. The Gators should win simply because they have the more talented squad.

PREDICTED SCORE: Florida over Louisville, 61-54
