Here's the pick of the day's transfer rumours involving Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United.

One of football's longest running transfer sagas ended on Monday after Fabregas signed for Barcelona.

Arsenal

Galatasaray have announced the signing of Emmanuel Eboue on a four-year contract from Arsenal.

Arsenal's hard bargaining tactics has resulted in clauses included in Cesc Fabregas's Barcelona contract which gives the Gunners the first option to buy him back. If they decide against buying him, they are entitled to half of any fee Barcelona if he is sold to another club.

However, Fabregas has a €200m release clause in his five-year contract at Barcelona.

Arsene Wenger could move for Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole as replacement for the Samir Nasri, whose move to Manchester City is imminent.

Dutch international winger Eljero Elia is said to prefer a move to either Arsenal or Chelsea, after rejecting a move to Juventus.

Chelsea

Chelsea could go back with a £30 million bid for Luka Modric, or offer £27 million plus Yossi Benayoun for the Croat.

Liverpool midfielder Raul Meireles is also said to have interested Chelsea as the player is believed to be surplus to Kenny Dalglish's requirements.

Chelsea are ready to hijack Samir Nasri from under the noses of Manchester City, especially as the Eastlands' side is considering the possibility of capturing Wesley Sneijder.

Nicholas Anelka is looking to move away from Stamford Bridge as he was furious at being left on the substitutes' bench for the Stoke game.

Liverpool

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish will attempt to kill two birds with one stone as he looks to sign Stoke captain Ryan Shawcross with a cash-plus-player deal involving unwanted midfielder Christian Poulsen.

Joe Cole may be on his way to Arsenal as a replacement for Fabregas and Nasri, leaving Liverpool with a healthier wage bill.

Raul Meireles is said to have interested Chelsea and as the player is believed to be surplus to Kenny Dalglish's requirements, it will free up funds to buy a defender.

Liverpool are also said to be considering a bid for Celtic winger Paddy McCourt.

Dalglish could also receive an offer of £4m plus add-ons for striker David Ngog from Bolton.

Manchester United

Manchester United are set to make a £14 million offer for Newcastle's Ivoirian midfielder Cheik Tiote.

Substitute goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard has stated that he is ready to step up to the mark if required after nervous displays by fellow new-keeper David De Gea on goal, during which the Spaniard made many mistakes.
