Ford Motor Co. (NYSE:F) has stopped production of a full-size commercial vehicle sold in China after discovering that its gas pedal comes from the same supplier that forced Toyota to issue a broad recall of cars.

The Ford stoppage involves the Transit Classic model, which is made in partnership with Jiangling Motors Corp., a Ford spokesman told the Wall Street Journal.

No problems have been reported so far, according to the report. CTS Corp began supplying gas-pedal assemblies for the car in December. About 1,600 Transit Classic models were made; the only vehicles affected are diesel models, according to the spokesman.
