FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - Greenback rose against European currencies but fell sharply against the Yen. The Japanese currency was the best performer among majors and rose across the board.
EUR/USD fell for the second day in a row and accumulates a decline of 230 pips. The par bottomed at 1.4754 reaching the lowest price in a month. The Euro recovered later but ended far from the opening price near 1.4830. GBP/USD fell to the lowest price in a week at 1.6311 but the recovered and rose back above 1.6400. Cable fell for the third day in a row against Greenback.
The Yen rose across the board, recovering after Friday's sell off. USD/JPY fell almost a hundred pips during the American session and found support at 89.00. The pair recovered later but the Dollar lost momentum and fell on Monday after rising in the last four sessions. The Yen also posted important gains against European currencies and finished near daily highs (lows in charts).
