PARIS, May 3 (Reuters) - France will increase its debt issue plans for 2011, 2012 and a part of 2013 to finance a loan package for Greece, Economy Minister Christine Lagarde said in a newspaper interview published on Monday.

In 2011, 2012 and a part of 2013, we will need to increase it to raise the additional 12.9 billion euros ($17.18 billion), Lagarde said in an interview with newspaper Le Monde. She said the plans for 2010 were unchanged.

Lagarde also said the European Union stability pact should be modified to ensure greater watchfulness over the competitiveness and financial stability of euro zone members.

We haven't paid enough attention to the competitiveness gaps that opened up between Germany on the one side and Greece, Portugal and Ireland on the other, she said. ($1=.7508 Euro) (Reporting by Sophie Hardach, Editing by Sudip Kar-Gupta)
