FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - The Pound is falling sharply against the Yen at the fastest pace for the current month. GBP/JPY broke below 149.00 and tumbled to 147.49, the lowest price since November 3. To the downside the next support is located at 146.20/35 (Nov 3 low) and below at 144.50 (Oct 30 high).

Currently trades at 1.4755/65, 1.26% below today's opening price, the pair is posting the biggest daily decline for the month. The better-than-expected data on retail sales in the U.K. did not stop Cable from falling and was offset by a stronger Yen.

UK retail sales have increased 0.4% in October, and they have gone 3.4% up since the same month last year, the largest advance in the last 17 months.
