FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The Sterling was hammered on Tuesday by BoE governor's comments and plunged from 1.6660 high to a one-week low at 1.6400. During Asian session, the pair attempted to recover but it was rejected at 1.6515 and the pair dropped to levels around 1.6430.

Initial support level lies at 1.6400 (Sept 15 low), and below here, 1.6380 (End Aug /Start Sept highs) and 1.6340. On the upside, the Pound found resistance at 1.6515 (intra-day high) and above here, next resistance levels could be at 1.6540 and 1.6610.

GBP/JPY decline from Tuesday's high at 151.75 high has extended during Asian session and the Pound has reached a two-weeks low at 149.05 (Sept 2 low), which is being tested at the moment. Below 14900, next support levels are 148.00 and 147.10. On the upside, resistance levels lie at 149.40 and 150.35.
