FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The Pound rose on Monday from 1.6470 session low to 1.6650 high on early U.S. session to pull down afterwards, reaching levels below 1.6550 ahead of the European session opening, hitting session low at 1.6530 so far.
The pair is turning bearish on hourly charts, and next support levels lie at 1.6495/00, and below here, 1.6460/65 (Nov 20/23 low) and 1.6400 (Nov 4 low). On the upside, resistance levels lie at 1.6585, and above here, 1.6650 (Nov 23 high) and 1.6700 area.
GBP/JPY recovery from 146.35 3-week low on Monday was capped at 148.25 on U.S. session, and the pair has declined during Asian session, giving away most of the ground gained on Monday, reaching 146.55 low so far. Support levels lie at 146.35 and 145.75. Resistance levels are 148.25 and 148.40.
