FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - The Canadian Dollar is falling against Greenback on Thursday for the first time after five days. Early in the day USD/CAD fell to 1.0200 posting the lowest price since July of last year. Dollar then recovered and jumped to 1.0371 (intra-day high). Currently trades at 1.0334/42, 0.88% above today's opening price.

Despite minor correction, Greenback is consolidating gains during the American session. The rise in crude oil futures above $77 a barrel to a fresh 2009 high did not help the Canadian Dollar. Comments on a possible intervention to avoid further appreciation and a weak report on Canadian manufacturing offset the rise in energy prices.
