The Hungarian forint fell 2.8% versus the euro, the lowest level in six weeks, after the IMF and EU announcements with regard Hungary's plan to rein in budget deficit.

The IMF said a range of issues remain open, while the EU mentioned that the government has to use more strict austerity measures to lower the debt near the 3% ceiling set by the EU from the current 3.8%.
