A former detective for the Los Angeles Police Department was sentenced Friday after he had entered a no-contest plea to three counts in June related to the assault of three women while he was on duty in the San Fernando Valley, CBS reported. Oris Pace, the 49-year-old former detective, was sentenced to serve 180 days in county jail and three years of probation for assaulting the women, who worked at separate massage parlors in the Valley, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said.

At the time of the crimes, Pace was a supervisor at the LAPD whose responsibilities encompassed the enforcement of business permits, including those for massage parlors.

Pace, who was taken into custody Jan. 2, first either forced the three women to undress or undressed them himself and then fondled them while he was on duty, committing the crimes between January 2011 and January 2012, according to officials.

Pace is required to resign from the LAPD as part of his plea agreement, the district attorney’s office said.
