“The Fosters” airs its summer finale on Monday, but it might not be a happy ending for everyone, according to the episode synopsis. In Season 2, episode 10, Girls United might lose funding and the Foster boys might be losing some good friends.

ABC Family viewers will find Callie attempting to help Girls United as they “face a dire challenge.” They need funding, and Callie turns to Robert for help. Her biological father helps her set up a fundraiser to save the group home. Callie’s dad is still very new to her life, and she still isn’t sure that she trusts him. This fundraiser will really be a make-or-break opportunity for Robert’s relationship with his daughter.

Callie is building that relationship, but it looks like her romantic relationship with Brandon is over. Meanwhile, “tension builds” between Lou and Brandon. Though the two seemed like they weren’t going to go forward with their relationship after their date in episode 9, the musicians might realize that they can’t ignore the feelings between them.

Also, the episode is titled “Someone’s Little Sister.” It’s probably not a coincidence that the episode and Lou's band share a name. She will probably be Brandon’s main love interest now that Callie is his sister. But the promo video makes it look like Brandon and Callie are headed in a different direction. Watch the video below:

Elsewhere, Jude might be losing Connor. Connor’s homophobic father will still be pressuring him to cut ties with Jude. Of course, Jude’s adoptive mothers are gay, but there is speculation that Jude might also be gay. In any case, Connor is Jude’s only friend at school, and losing him will be hard for the 13-year-old to deal with.

Jesus could also be losing a friend. He’ll get “a new perspective” on his new girlfriend Hayley. Hayley is keeping their relationship a secret because she doesn’t want her ex-boyfriend to know about Jesus. Her new boyfriend might get fed up with that idea eventually. Also, Jesus won’t take it well when he finds out that Hayley was rude to his twin, Marianna. Earlier this season, Hayley explained to Marianna that she was on the dance team only because she was the vice principal’s daughter.

“The Fosters” fans know that there has to be something that wasn't included in the synopsis. Last summer’s finale featured Stef getting shot, and Brandon was beat up in the spring’s finale. What’s this year’s cliffhanger? It’s hard to say, but it seems likely that someone will find himself or herself in danger.

“The Fosters” Season 2 episode 10 will air Monday at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC Family. What do you think the cliffhanger will be? Sound off in the comments section below!
