‘The Fosters’
Will Callie (Maia Mitchell) end her relationship with AJ (Tom Williamson) in “The Fosters” Season 4, episode 17? Freeform

“The Fosters” Season 4, episode 17 may finally see Callie (Maia Mitchell) and AJ (Tom Williamson) finally breaking up.

In “Diamond in the Rough,” Callie continues her relentless pursuit to seek justice for herself and one of her friends. Since this is the only thing Callie focuses on, she will not notice that she’s starting to take AJ for granted. The latter has been supportive of everything that Callie wants to do, but he will finally make a stand for their relationship and for himself.

Elsewhere in the episode, Stef (Teri Polo) will try to save a girl named Diamond (Hope Olaide Wilson) from violence and prostitution. After starting a new assignment in human trafficking, Stef will meet the teenaged girl who is extremely damaged and broken. Diamond will resist Stef’s help at first because she doesn’t think she needs any help. But their relationship will immediately improve before the end of the episode.

Meanwhile, Lena (Sherri Saum) would have to face consequences for holding an off-campus sex education class for the LGBTQ youth. Previously, Jude (Hayden Byerly) asked his moms why the sex education classes in school are only between straight girls and boys.

Also in the episode, Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) is still haunted by what happened to Jesus (Noah Centineo). In order to make it up to him, Mariana will try to cheer her brother up after he suffered from a traumatic brain injury. Jesus is also having a hard time reading and writing, and he will be prescribed with a special pair of glasses to help him out. In the sneak peek released by Freeform, Brandon (David Lambert) could not help but feel surprised when he sees his brother's glasses that he ends up calling them “cute.”

“The Fosters” Season 4, episode 17 will air on Freeform on March 20 at 8 p.m. EST.
