The president of television network Fox entertainment, Kevin Reilly, said Tuesday the network is not planning massive layoffs despite tough times in the entertainment industry and in the overall economy.

This company is committed to not making massive layoffs. There are none in the works right now, Reilly, president of entertainment for Fox Broadcasting said at the US Television Critics Association meeting.

In the last TVseason, Fox ended up as the most-watched US TV network thanks to ratings of American Idol.

Among the four major networks the CBS network, part of CBS Corp is leading the ratings race due to CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Two and a Half men and The Mentalist.
