The Television Critics Association winter press tour kicked off on Thursday in Pasadena, California, with a Fox panel featuring executives from the company sharing news about the Disney acquisition and the future of Fox shows.

Here’s all of the exciting news coming out of the event.

“The Gifted” Renewed For Season 2

Ahead of the two-hour season finale airing on Monday, Jan. 15, Fox announced that it has renewed the Marvel series for a second season. The network revealed in a press release that the series is the No. 3 new drama of the 2017-2018 season and averages 8.3 million total viewers across platforms.

In “eXtraction/X-roads,” the upcoming season finale, fans will watch as the Mutant HQ team dangerously attempts to stop Dr. Campbell (Garret Dillahunt) taking the Hound program national.

“New Girl” Season 7 Premiere And Finale Dates

The long-running series is gearing up for its seventh and final season, with the premiere scheduled for Tuesday, April 10, at 9:30 p.m. EST on Fox. The eight-episode final season will end with a special one-hour finale on Tuesday, May 15, at 9 p.m. EST.

“When the series returns for its final season, a three-year time jump will have occurred,” the network revealed. “Jess [Zooey Deschanel] and Nick [Jake Johnson] are happily together and returning from a whirlwind European book tour; stay-at- home dad Schmidt [Max Greenfield] and working mom Cece [Hannah Simone] are raising their daughter, Ruth; and Winston [Lamorne Morris] and Aly [Nasim Pedrad] are married, with a child on the way.”

The final season will mark the return of many fan-favorite guest stars, including Damon Wayans, Jr., Dermot Mulroney, David Walton, Nelson Franklin, Sam Richardson, Jamie Lee Curtis and Rob Reiner.

“Family Guy” To Air 300th Episode And Extended Episode

The animated series’ milestone 300th episode, “Dog Bites Bear,” will air Sunday, Jan. 14, at 9 p.m. EST. The episode will focus on Brian (Seth MacFarlane) and Stewie (MacFarlane), who get into a friendship-ending argument.

On March 11 at 9 p.m. EST, for the first time, “Family Guy” will also debut an extended episode with few commercial interruptions.

Will “Gotham,” “Lucifer” And “So You Think You Can Dance” Be Renewed?

Fox has does not have an update on “SYTYCD” yet as they are looking at all of their options for summer shows. As for DC shows, “Gotham” and “Lucifer,” there was also no news on renewals, but Fox said it doesn’t have plans to end DC shows just because of their new relationship with Marvel.

“Prison Break” Might Be Coming Back

There aren’t many details about what exactly is happening with the series, but Fox revealed the a new iteration of the show is in the very early stages of development. Whether it will be a continuation or spinoff is unknown, as is which original cast members would be involved. Fox Chairman and CEO Gary Newman did tell EW that “it would not be an entirely new cast,” though.
