France CPI for September was released at -0.2% worse than the previous and projected readings of 0.5% and -0.1% respectively while on the year it dipped to -0.4% from -0.2% which was also what the markets were expecting.

Also released was CPI EU-Harmonized for September came in at -0.2% lower than the predicted flat reading and worse than August's reading of 0.6 percent, on the year it declined to -0.4 percent from the revised prior reading of -0.1% from -0.2% while it was expected to come in at -0.2 percent.

CPI excluding tobacco index for September came in at 118.12 lower than the prior 118.41 and the predicted 118.30.
