At least two people were killed, and one critically injured after a shooting outside a school in the French city of Grenoble Monday, local media reports said. According to local RFI radio, one man died at the scene while the second succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.

The incident reportedly took place near Jean Racine school in Teisseire district of the city, France Bleau newspaper reported. Police and ambulances were deployed to the scene. There was no word so far on what triggered the shooting.

According to Agence France-Presse, police cordoned off the area and an investigation is underway into the incident.
