RTTNews - A senior official of the Commerce Ministry said the Board of Approval would consider proposals for setting up special economic zones (SEZs) on August 11, reports PTI. The meeting will be chaired by Commerce Secretary Rahul Khullar and is likely to be attended by senior officials of some ministries, including Finance, Home Affairs and Defence.

On June 19, the BoA approved two proposals and extended time to 23 developers, including that of Satyam Computers, for starting tax-free enclaves.
