Some people live in fear of Friday the 13th. They’ll have to get through May 13 the best they can this year, but they can rest easy knowing they won’t have to face another Friday the 13th until 2017.

May 13 is the only appearance of Friday the 13th this year. That’s great news for those who suffer from Friggatriskaidekaphobia, the scientific name for a fear of the storied date. Last year, they suffered through three Fridays that fell on the 13th. Luckily, they’ll have plenty of time to prepare for the next appearance of the date, in January.

That actually might be good news for businesses too. People often avoid making big purchases or traveling on the date. The Stress Management Center and Phobia Institute in North Carolina estimates that businesses lose up to $900 million every Friday the 13th, the Telegraph reports.

Those most disappointed by the lone Friday the 13th in 2016 are fans of the “Friday the 13th” films. The new Jason Voorhees horror flick was originally scheduled to be released this Friday. When the studio decided it needed a little more time, the movie was moved to the next unlucky date, Jan. 13, 2017, forcing fans to wait another eight months for the 13th installment in the series.

Next year will be a little more stressful for the superstitious people who hate the date. There will be two Friday the 13ths, in January and October. In fact, there won’t be another year with just one Friday the 13th until 2021.
