Boo! March has brought with it the second Friday the 13th of 2015. Those who suffer from paraskevidekatriaphobia, or the morbid fear of the so-called unlucky day, already endured it in February -- and will have to suffer one more time in November.

But not everybody fears the day that superstitious people dread. While certain folks may not walk under ladders or willingly cross paths with black cats, they associate Friday the 13th with a classic and popular horror-film franchise centered on psycho killer Jason Voorhees. To celebrate, we’ve compiled a list of quotations from the movies to share with your friends on one of the spookiest days of the year:

From The 1980 ‘Friday the 13th’ Movie

  • “Did you know a young boy drowned the year before those two others were killed? The counselors weren’t paying any attention. ... His name was Jason.” -- Pamela Voorhees (Betsy Palmer)
  • “It’s not bad enough to have Friday the 13th, we’ve gotta have a full moon, too. We keep statistics. We have more accidents, more rapes, more robberies, more homicides, more of everything when there’s a full moon. It upsets people. Makes them nuts.” -- Sgt. Tierney (Ronn Carroll)
  • “You see, Jason was my son, and today is his birthday. ... ” -- Pamela Voorhees (Betsy Palmer)
  • “You kids keep your noses clean, you understand? You’ll be hearing from me if you don’t. We ain’t gonna stand for any weirdness out here.” -- Officer Dorf (Ron Millkie)
  • “Camp Crystal Lake is jinxed. ... Did Christy ever tell you ’bout the two kids murdered in ’58? Boy drowning in ’57? Buncha fires. Nobody knows who did any of ’em. In 1962, they was gonna open up ... the water was bad. Christy’ll end up just like his folks, crazy and broke. He’s been up there a year fixin’ up that place. He musta dropped $25,000, and for what? Ask anybody, quit.” -- Enos, the truck driver (Rex Everhart)

From The 1981 ‘Friday the 13th Part 2’ Movie

  • “I don’t wanna scare anyone, but I’m gonna give it to you straight about Jason. His body was never recovered from the lake after he drowned. And if you listen to the old-timers in town, they’ll tell you he’s still out there, some sort of demented creature, surviving in the wilderness, full grown by now ... stalking ... stealing what he needs, living off wild animals and vegetation. Some folks claim they’ve even seen him, right in this area. The girl that survived the night at Camp Blood, that ... Friday the 13th? She claimed she saw him. She disappeared two months later ... vanished. Blood was everywhere. No one knows what happened to her. Legend has it that Jason saw his mother beheaded that night. Then, he took his revenge, a revenge he continued to seek if anyone ever enters his wilderness again.” -- Paul (John Furey)
  • “I told the others, they didn’t believe me. You’re all doomed. You’re all doomed.” -- Crazy Ralph (Walt Gorney)

From The 1988 ‘Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood’ Movie

  • “There’s a legend around here. A killer buried, but NOT dead. A curse on Crystal Lake, a death curse. Jason Voorhees’ curse. They say he died as a boy, but he keeps coming back. Few have seen him and lived. Some have even tried to stop him. NO ONE can.” -- Narrator (Walt Gorney)

From The 1989 ‘Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan’ Movie

  • “Look, you don’t understand. There is a maniac trying to kill us.” -- Rennie Wickham (Jensen Daggett)
  • “Walking corpses are not real.” -- Charles McCulloch (Peter Mark Richman)
  • “You’re dead meat, slime bag!” -- Street Urchin (Vince Cupone)
  • “There was this boy named Jason Voorhees who drowned in Crystal Lake about 30 years ago. None of the counselors heard him. A bunch of years went by, and everyone forgot about it. And that’s when the murders started to happen ... His mother blamed the counselors for her son’s death, and she tried to kill them all, but she got her head chopped off by one of them. Legend has it that Jason came back to get even, vowing to kill every teenager in the area. And every now and then, the murders just start up.” -- Jim Miller (Todd Caldecott)

From The 2009 ‘Friday the 13th’ Movie

  • [After handing over a hockey stick to Jason.] “Are you looking for this? Because, uh, it completes your outfit” -- Chewie (Aaron Yoo)
  • “Jason, say ‘Hi’ to Mommy ... In hell.” -- Whitney Miller (Amanda Righetti)
  • “People go missing around here, they’re gone for good. Outsiders come, they don’t know where to walk. They bring trouble. We just want to be left alone. And so does he.” -- Old Lady (Rosemary Knower)
  • “Kill for mother ... ” -- Pamela Voorhees (Nana Visitor)
