On Friday funds managed by Candover and Goldman Sachs said that they had increased their bid for Expro International to 1,550 pence per share.

According to Reuters the independent directors of Expro said they had recommended the offer.

Earlier the same day, Expro confirmed receipt of a 1,525 pence per share bid from US company Halliburton.
