Stock index futures added gains on Thursday after the government reported the number of U.S. workers filing for jobless benefits fell more than expected last week.

S&P 500 futures added 7 points and were above fair value, a formula that evaluates pricing by taking into account interest rates, dividends and time to expiration on the contract. Dow Jones industrial average futures were up 45 points, while Nasdaq 100 futures rose 9 points.
