With the death of former Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi on Thursday, the world is now three tyrants short of what it was 10 years ago. Osama bin Laden is dead, killed in an American raid in May, and Saddam Hussein was executed in 2006 after the American invasion of Iraq in 2003 toppled his government.

But even though three of the infamous tyrants are dead and several others, like Hosni Mubarak of Egypt and Pervez Musharraf of Pakistan, have been driven from power, many remain. Here are four of the most notorious.
