As the largest mobile phone carrier in the U.S., Verizon has a huge selection of smartphones. Now that they have the iPhone 4S, it's almost a one stop shop for high tech. Not only that, they have the largest high-speed data network to go along with it. New smartphones are now being optimized for use on the LTE network, although that technology is not as widespread as the 3G network.

If you are waiting for the Galaxy Nexus, join the club. With no announcements, shoppers will have to keep waiting or simply pick up another of the Android devices available now. Most of the phones in this list will eventually get the Android 4.0 update that Galaxy Nexus will be debuting, it just might take a few months. Furthermore, just because Galaxy Nexus takes the top spot from the iPhone doesn't mean we think the iPhone is inferior. They are both tremendous devices. If you're still not convinced, then it is highly recommended you go down to the Verizon store (or any mobile phone retailer) and check out the devices for yourself. When the Galaxy Nexus finally does drop it will feature a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED display with HD resolution and, of course, 4G speeds. Start the slideshow to see the top 10 Verizon smartphones. Tell us in the comments which one is your favorite.
