Game of Thrones season 4 spoilers
Will "Game of Thrones" ring true to George R. R. Martin's series? Game of Thrones

“Game of Thrones” is only a few days from airing its eagerly awaited fourth season. And according to fans, they couldn’t be more excited to welcome their favorite Westeros back to the small screen when “GoT” premieres on April 6 -- well, those who survived.

So, what do David Benioff, D.B. Weiss and George R. R. Martin have in store for their devoted fans who’ve been following the fantasy drama since 2011? According to actress Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, the three masterminds have a few tricks up their sleeves that may leave fans speechless.

Although Turner couldn’t divulge into the storyline of her character, the red-haired beauty did tease fans that “plenty of changes are afoot” this season. What exactly does that mean? Could she be indicating that the HBO series will be straying for the plot of the book this season?

Spoiler Alert: A huge spoiler is about to be revealed. Retreat now if you haven’t read Martin’s series, “A Song of Ice and Fire.”

My Fan Based interviewed the 18-year-old actress about the upcoming season of “GoT,” digging for information of what will happen when Sansa witnesses the death of King Joffrey in Season 4. Will the brutal king’s demise free Sansa from the Lannisters’ horrid clutches?

“In the books this certainly would change everything for her emotionally,” Turner said, regarding the death of Joffrey during his wedding. “Although she'd still be under control of the Lannisters, especially Cersei, so I'm not sure that her life would be too different other than having an emotional burden lifted. However, I can't say whether anything like this will happen in the series as the series is just an adaptation of the books and could go in any direction.”

One hopes she’s not insinuating that Joffrey lives. The tyrant king’s death is one of the main reasons we’ve been watching the thrilling drama since the beginning. For him to survive would be the ultimate sword in the heart -- Red Wedding style.

Do you think Weiss and Benioff will kill Joffrey during Season 4 of “Game of Thrones”? We doubt they’d pull a “House of Cards” on us, which means we might have to sit tight to witness his death further into the season. Let us know what you think will happen in the comments section below. Will the HBO creators stay true to the series or will they create their own interpretation of the key scene?
