Kit Harington

It’s a bit weird that Kit Harington keeps showing up to “Game of Thrones” filming locations if his character is dead. The actor, who plays Jon Snow, was recently spotted in Spain with another “Thrones” actress.

Winter is Coming spotted Harrington in Spain, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that he is filming “Game of Thrones” Season 6. E! Online notes that the country is the filming location for both “GoT” and Harington’s new movie.

Jon Snow was stabbed in the “Game of Thrones” Season 5 finale at the Wall, but that’s where Jon’s story ends in the books. The TV show will likely reveal his fate before George R.R. Martin’s next book is released, but fans aren't happy about waiting a year for answers. They're already looking for plenty into clues about Jon Snow's fate.

As previously reported, Harrington was also seen in Belfast, Ireland, earlier this month. The city serves as the setting for the Wall, where Jon’s story mostly took place. Harington has been seen in Belfast multiple times by fans, but they were told that he wasn’t allowed to take pictures (they snuck in a few snaps anyway). Still, his appearance in Belfast doesn’t necessarily mean that Jon Snow is alive. Harington could be there for a funeral scene or other scenes as Jon’s body. However, it probably wouldn’t take two weeks to film his funeral.

Watchers on the Wall recently spotted him with Nathalie Emmanuel, who plays Missandei on the HBO drama. It might seem odd that Emmanuel is there, especially since Missandei hasn’t had any scenes at the Wall. However, “Game of Thrones” has many interior sets in Belfast, so her appearance there doesn’t necessarily indicate that Jon’s storyline will intersect with Daenerys’ (Emilia Clarke), if he survives.

However, it's Harington’s appearance in Spain might indicate that he could meet the last of the Targaryen line ... or anyone else south of the Wall. After all, summer in Spain doesn’t really seem like it could stand in for the snow-laden Wall. Spain is used for some of the warmer locations in “GoT,” which seems to be where a majority of the characters are located. Dorne, Mereen and even King's Landing seem to be in sunny locales. Since Spain could stand in for so many places, so it's unclear where Jon might be headed. One thing that is clear: if he is on the “Thrones” set in Spain, he would have to be alive in some way for the story to logically send him there.

It isn’t just appearances near the set that’s causing fans to speculate. In addition to the 28-year-old actor keeping the same hairstyle, Jon Snow also wasn’t featured in a line of merchandise called “Honor The Fallen: The Memoriam Collection.” All of the collector’s items showed characters who died on the show, but Jon isn’t one of them.

Unfortunately, the “Game of Thrones” creative team isn’t giving fans hope. Even HBO president Michael Lombardo claimed that Jon is gone for good, according to the Hollywood Reporter. "In everything I’ve seen, heard or read, Jon Snow is indeed dead," said Lombardo.
