Emilia Clarke shuts down speculation about a Targaryen “Game of Thrones” Season 7 spinoff. HBO

The Khaleesi’s reign is coming to an end. Emilia Clarke has a message for fans holding out for a “Game of Thrones” spinoff starring Daenerys Targaryen and her family.

The actress, who’s been playing the Mother of Dragons on the HBO series since 2011, assures thronies her storyline will end when “Game of Thrones” does. She’s promised fans one more season after Season 7, but nothing more. While there will certainly be a spinoff, Clarke won’t be a part of it.

“I mean, I have no doubt there’ll be prequels and sequels and who knows what else. But I am doing one more season. And then that’ll be it,” she told Rolling Stone.

The “Game of Thrones” star also confirmed some major spoilers about the penultimate Season 7. Clarke told Rolling Stone that during her years playing Daenerys on the HBO original series, she rarely spent time in Belfast. During filming for the second to last season, however, she was there “a little more.”

The spoiler’s confirmation that Daenerys will make her way to Westeros during Season 7 of “Game of Thrones” after several seasons of planning. Additionally, Clarke told fans to expect a lot of loose ends to be tied up. She promised it’ll revisit themes fans have likely forgotten about and delight them in many ways.

“It’s a really interesting season in terms of some loose ends that have been tied, some really satisfying plot points, some things where you’re like, ‘Oh, my god. I forgot about that!’ Rumors are going to be confirmed or denied,” she said.

In the same interview Clarke speculated that Daenerys will go through “a shake up” in Season 7 of “Game of Thrones.” This theory is supported by the second trailer released by HBO on June 21. In it, Daenerys is confronted by Ser Davos (Liam Cunningham) about her desire for power and the dangers that accompany it. He warns that if she doesn’t focus on what’s important — taking down the threats to the Seven Kingdoms — they’ll all end up dead and it won’t matter who’s sitting on the Iron Throne.

While it’s unclear whether she’ll heed his advice, it does seem viewers can expect Daenerys and her men to be focused on the demise of at least one adversary. Early set photos teased an ambush on the Lannisters. “Game of Thrones” trailer footage, as well as still photos, have seemingly confirmed that attack and fans are thrilled.

In addition to launching an attack on caravans carrying members of the controversial family, trailer footage suggests Daenerys and her posse will confront Cersei (Lena Headey) and Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau)in their home at Casterly Rock, according to Time. Rumor has it she’ll use Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) to explore the tunnels under the walled city to get to his siblings.

These theories remain unconfirmed, but Season 7 of “Game of Thrones” is closer than ever. The show’s set to premiere July 16 at 9 p.m. EDT on HBO. Find more Season 7 theories HERE.
