The sterling was stopped at the 1.6727 resistance, that had already fought in late November. If the price really turned, it will have to lose the support at 1.6643, hitting a new intraday low with potential to slide down to 1.6586. This last support is where the price rebounded with strength yesterday and breaking it will take the pair down to 1.65 dollars per pound. Above, 1.6727 is an important level for the dollar traders. If the price gets over it, it will seek 1.6878, November's high. If the cable has much strength, it could try to reach 1.7061, yearly high, before the year's end.
