Gamescom is the next gaming event lined up for players hoping to sample more titles before they reach the shelves. One title that Xbox fans have been looking forward to is “Gears of War Remastered,” which is set for release on the Xbox One.

Developer The Coalition has already confirmed the game's release date on Aug. 25. Since this date is just around the corner players have been asking Xbox head Phil Spencer if they can sample the title at Gamescom.

Sadly, in a Twitter conversation with Spencer, Gamepur reported that the Xbox head confirmed that “Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" will not be playable in Germany. This is due to the rating of the title as well as Germany’s strict policies when it comes to video game violence. “Yea, we can’t really show 'Gears' in Germany,” said Spencer via Twitter.

The original title “Gears of War” has received an M rating since it was released in 2006. Even succeeding iterations have received the “Mature” rating, including “Gears of War: Judgment” and “Gears of War 2.”

There is still hope for “Gears of War 4,” the upcoming title for 2016, as Spencer shared that they will try to have the game released in Germany. There has not been much in terms of details about “Gears of War 4,” particularly because The Coalition has stated that the release window will possibly be December 2016, which is more than an entire year from now.

As far as the “Gears of War: Ultimate Edition” is concerned, it appears PC players will have to wait to get their hands on the remastered edition. According to PC Gamer, Spencer has announced that the Windows 10 version of the title will come later than the Xbox One version. While there are no announcements as to the exact release date, fans may not be able to play the game until after August.

The Coalition is also handling the PC version of “Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.” Previously, the developer confirmed that this edition will allow 4K support, the DirectX 12 and unlocked framerates for the Xbox One version. Microsoft and The Coalition may announce more details for the PC edition once a definitive release date becomes official.

In the meantime, Microsoft has released a new trailer for “Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.” This features the cinematic opening for the title.
