Rock star Gene Simmons, 62, and actress Shannon Tweed, 54, have finally married each other, after 28 long years of being in a relationship. The couple were married, according to publicist Dawn Miller, in Beverly Hills.

I come with so much baggage, but you're the only friend I've got, you're the only one I've ever loved. I've never said those words to anybody. It's funny, I used to watch movies where they say I can't live without you, but for me it's true, Simmons is believed to have told Tweed, when proposing. The proposal was captured by cameras for the A&E reality show.

The ceremony, which took place out of doors on Saturday, will be the latest in a line of celerity weddings to be broadcast on television. It is scheduled to go live on Oct. 18, as part of a new season of Gene Simmons Family Jewels, a reality series that has chronicled the pair's unconventional relationship. which began in 2006, a Reuters report said.

According to People magazine, Simmons and Tweed exchanged vows they had written themselves.

The couple's daughter, Sophie, 19, served as maid of honor and son Nicholas, 22, created the illustration for the wedding invitation, Reuters reported.
