Sam has happily settled into her marriage with Drew and it looks like Jason has finally taken the hint to move on his life. On the Thursday, Feb. 8 episode of “General Hospital” Jason will attempt to start over just as Drew unknowingly learns more about Faison’s traitor.

In the previous episode of the ABC soap, Peter (Wes Ramsey) surprised Drew (Billy Miller) by informing him he was resigning from his position at Aurora Media, just as the dust was settling from the recent deaths in town.

Meanwhile, Carly (Laura Wright) has been hounding Jason (Steve Burton) to declare his love for Sam (Kelly Monaco), but Jason has only been interested in making sure Sam gets everything she wants. From the looks of the promo, it seems he may finally do something that will make himself happy.

In the promo for the upcoming episode, Carly asks Jason what he thinks as the two appear in what looks to be a vacant space. The empty room could be either an office or the living room of a new apartment, but it looks like it’s somewhere Jason will be visiting frequently.

“GH” spoilers reveal Jason will put down roots in Port Charles. Since returning to the town, Jason was not able to stay in his penthouse because Sam and Drew were living there. In the divorce, Jason allowed the two to continue residing there, which left him without a permanent residence.

However, now that Sam has made it clear she wants to spend her life with Drew, it appears Jason will attempt to continue on without her and create his own memories in a new place.

Elsewhere in the promo, Drew is seen in his office, where he refuses to take Peter’s resignation without an explanation. Although it appears the citizens of Port Charles are unaware of Peter’s real identity, viewers know he is really Faison’s (Anders Hove) other son, Henrik.

Now that his father is dead, it looks like Peter is anxious to get out of town before people can learn his real identity.

Peter has already given Lulu (Emme Rylan) a vague account of his childhood but left out that Faison was the father that never approved of him. While it seems as if Peter isn’t opposed to dropping hints about his past, Drew may not immediately be able to figure out Peter is the traitor.

However, their private conversation may result in some major clues that could be helpful in investigating the switch in the future.

“General Hospital” airs weekdays at 3 p.m. EST on ABC.
