Oscar-winning actor George Clooney is engaged to British lawyer girlfriend Amal Alamuddin, People magazine reported Saturday.

The 52-year-old actor reportedly popped the question during a recent vacation in Cabo San Lucas in Mexico. And last week, Alamuddin and Clooney were reportedly spotted at Nobu, a restaurant in Malibu, where they were dining with their friends, model Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber, and the 32-year-old lawyer was reportedly spotted wearing a ring on her left ring finger.

"George and Amal are trying to keep things very low-key but they also aren't really trying to hide this, it doesn't seem," People magazine reported, citing an unnamed source. The engagement happened "not that long ago, I think," the source added.

When asked about the engagement rumors, Clooney’s representative reportedly said: “I don't comment on my client's personal life.”

Clooney and Alamuddin were first romantically linked in October 2013 after they were spotted out together in London.

“This is the healthiest relationship I’ve ever seen George in,” a source recently told Us Weekly. “He seems incredibly happy, and Amal is such a sweet and intelligent girl, who has her own thoughts and ideas and doesn’t just bow down to everything he says.”

Clooney previously dated actress Stacy Keibler for two years, who later married entrepreneur Jared Pobre in March this year. Clooney was previously married to actress Talia Balsam in 1989 before divorcing her in 1993. He has also been linked to many stars including Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis and Renee Zellweger.
