Germany's highest court has rejected a request from a German lawmaker to block the immediate granting of guarantees from the euro zone's financial safety package, the lawmaker's office said in a statement on Thursday.

No injunction, but the decision about the constitutional complaint against the euro stabilisation mechanism remains open, the lawmaker's office said.
