RTTNews - The German economy may take another five years to fully recover from the current financial crisis, the BDB banks' association said Wednesday.

The association said after an expected contraction of 6% this year, a relatively strong economic recovery is not possible.

Moreover, state borrowing will rise to nearly 80% of the country's gross domestic product by the end of next year, which is almost 15% more than in 2008.
