FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The number of persons employed in Germany has continued growing in November, although at the slower pace of the last two years, as a consequence of the economic slowdown. The ILO unemployment rate, however remains at the same level of the last two months.
According to figures released by German Statistics, the number of persons employed in Germany have increased by 500,000 to 40.83 million in November. The relative tear on year increase has been the 1.2% the lowest since December 2006. In January 2008 the relative year on year increase was 1.7%.
The ILO Unemployment rate, however, has remained steady at 7.1% in November, a level considerably below the 8.0% posted in the same month last year.
