FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Factory Orders rose by 4.0% in October, while on yearly basis it increased by 14.0%, according to information by the German Ministry of Economics.
The market consensus was a rise by 0.9% on montly basis and by 6.2% compared with October 2006. September's data was upwardly revised to a decrease by 1.6% in the month and a rise by 1.9% on the year. Original data was a decline by 2.5% in monthly basis and a rise by 1.1% compared with October 2006.
The German Ministry remarks that foreign demand rose robustly despite the strong euro, with foreign orders posting a 5.0% increase in October. Domestic orders rose by 2.7% compared with September 2007.
