FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Consumer confidence has deteriorated in Germany, as the forward looking GfK confidence indicator declined to 4.9 points in June from downwardly revised 5.6 points in May, according to the latest data by the GfK institute.

All its sub indexes, referring to the current month, posted losses in May. Economic expectations index fell to 13.4 from 23.3 in April. Income expectations declined to -4.3 in May from 10.5 in April and the index measuring consumer intentions of making expensive purchases, has plummeted to -20.4 points from -4.7 points in April.
