FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - German manufacturing PMI has remained practically unchanged in December, instead of the slight decline forecasted by the market analysts, according to market sources.

Manufacturing PMI has eased to 53.6 in December from 53.7 in November, a reading slightly higher than the 53.3 expected by analysts.

Manufacturing sector's activity, thus, continued expanding in December, in the light of these figures, as numbers over 50 mean expansion of the sector's activity, and numbers below 50 show contraction.
