FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The index of producer prices has grown well above expectations in Germany in April, recording the largest yearly increase since August 2006, according to data released by German Statistics.

Producer prices have increased 5.2% in April from the same month last year, while it has risen 1.1% from March. Expe3rts had advanced a 0.5% monthly increase and a 4.7% year on year.

The largest upward influence on the year-on-year has been energy, whose price has risen 12.6% on the year in April, following increases by 8.2% and 7.0% in March and February respectively.
