FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Retail sales have declined again in November although the decrease has been somewhat slighter than the one posted in October, according to the latest retail sales data released by Destatis.
Total volume of retail sales has fallen 1.3% in November from October in real terms, following a 3.3% decrease in the previous month. In nominal terms, retail sales decreased 0.6%.
From November 2006, total volume of retail sales has gone 3.2% down, after a 0.6% decrease in October, in real terms, while in nominal terms, retail trade fell 1.0% on the year.
The nominal retail turnover for the whole 2007 year is expected to be between 0.7% and 1.0% lower than what it was in the year 2006, in real terms, Destatis estimates a decrease between 1.5% and 1.8% on the year.
