RTTNews - Wednesday, Germany's Federal Statistical Office announced that the total number of insolvencies decreased 3.4% year-over-year to 13,676 in April.

Meanwhile, insolvency courts reported the business insolvencies increased 7.1% annually to 2,979 in April, while consumers insolvencies decreased 5.7%.

For the January to April period, the total number of insolvencies declined 0.6% to 52,680, over a year ago. At the same time, business insolvencies rose 12.1%, while consumer insolvencies dropped 3.7%.The change rate was without the results of Nordrhein-Westfalen, the Destatis said.
