FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - German trade surplus has narrowed to 6.9 billion in December, from 9.9 billion in November, according to figures released by German Statistics.
In November's Trade surplus has been revised down by the 10.7 billion surplus previously estimated.
In the whole 2008, Germany imported commodities worth 992.7 billion while the value of exported commodities totalled 814.5 billion, Exports have increased 2.8% from January to December, while imports rose 5.8%.
German Current Account of the balance of payments has given a surplus of 12.3 billion in December, up from 8.7 billion in November. In the whole 2008, the current account surplus has been 162.5 billion, down from 180.8 billion in 2007.
