FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Germany's trade surplus in goods and services trade with the rest of the world has decreased in December to almost half of the surplus obtained in November, according to figures by Destatis.

Trade surplus declined in December to 10.8 billion euro from 19.5 billion in November, with imports increasing 8.5%, and exports growing at 5.0% pace in the 2007.

In the whole 2007 year, Germany obtained a surplus of 162.0 billion euro in the current account balance of payments, above the 114.1 billion current account surplus posted in 2006.
