German Wholesale Trade Turnover Declines In February

Tuesday, Germany's Federal Statistical Office announced that the wholesale trade turnover in real terms dropped 12.2% year-over-year in February, compared to the 11.1% fall in the previous month. A year ago, wholesale trade turnover was up 10.1%.

On a monthly basis, the wholesale trade turnover dropped 1.1% in February, after falling 2.4% in January.

In nominal terms, wholesale trade turnover decreased 14.9% annually in February, following a 15.8% decline in the preceding month. Wholesale trade turnover remained unchanged in February from the previous month.

For the January to February period, wholesale trade turnover declined 11.7% in real terms, and it dipped 15.4% in nominal terms compared to the same period of the previous year.
