FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Economic Expectations have improved in Germany in February, although the assessment of the current situation has deteriorated, according to data by the ZEW Center for Economic research.

The ZEW economic expectations Index as improved to -3.5 in Feb from -5.8 in Jan. The current reading, although still negative, economic expectations return to levels of August 2007, right at the beginning of the current economic crisis, increasing the distance from -63.9 bottom in July 2007, and pointing out to the end of the recession in summer.

Expert's assessment of economic conditions have worsened to a reading of -89.4 in March from -86.2 in February.
