Germany released the IFO survey for the business climate, the current assessment and expectations for September, reflecting less confidence compared with August, however, better than the expected estimates.

The IFO survey for business climate, which measures the levels of confidence in the business sector, declined to 107.5 from the previous of 108.7, better than the expected estimate of 106.5.

In addition, the IFO survey for the current assessment, which measures the levels of confidence in the current situation, also retreated to 117.9 from the prior of 118.1, also better than the expected estimate of 115.7.

Finally, the IFO survey for expectations, which tracks the outlook projection in the coming six months, has also slumped to 98.0 from the previous of 100.1 above the expected estimate of 97.3.
