Germany recorded expansion of 0.5% in the third quarter, according to the GDP preliminary reading, in line with median forecasts, while the second quarter reading was revised up to 0.3% from the initial 0.1%.

On the annual basis, the non-seasonally adjusted reading came higher than forecasts of 2.4% expansion at 2.5% compared with the revised 3.0% which was 2.5% initially, whereas the working day adjusted reading showed 2.6% growth which is higher than projections of 2.5% yet lower than the revised 2.9% which was 2.5% initially.
