No matter where on the globe you reside, New Year's Eve will be a giant celebration. The biggest party happens in Times Square, New York. Whether you are one of the million who will crowd into Times Square on New Year's Eve or prefer to experience it from the comfort of home, there is an app that will let you watch the ball drop.

The Mayan apocalypse did not happen last Friday, meaning Earth will be ringing in 2013. To celebrate the occasion, New York has perhaps the largest New Year's Eve party, bringing a million revelers from around the world to Times Square to watch the ball drop. Apps, along with live streams, are becoming a standard part of the festivities. Now people can not only view New Year's Eve in Times Square but also interact with and be a part of the New Year's Eve celebration.

The 2013 Times Square Ball App is available to download for iPhone and Android devices. Users can go to the app's website to download the program; iPhone and iPad users can go to iTunes, and Android users can download the app from Google Play. The 2013 Times Square Ball App lets you experience all of the New Year's Eve festivities by offering a six-hour live live stream from the scene. App users can watch the ball drop, the party in Times Square and live musical acts throughout the night.

2013 Times Square Ball App users can also submit photos that will be voted on by other users via the app, Facebook and Twitter. Photos with the most votes will be featured on the Toshiba Vision screen in the heart of Times Square.
